Well! I finally made myself a DeviantID. That is pretty exciting! I guess I'll need to tackle my avatar next. I swear all my artwork isn't drawings of me with and random creatures! I've added some sketches to my Scrapbook of some animals and *ahem* Spike from Buffy *blush*. I'm torn between being sheepish about it and also slightly proud, because I think it's the best attempt at drawing a person I've done yet. I think colour might be my Next Big Thing to Tackle. Meanwhile, I am back at work tomorrow. Le tired! The summer holidays are over so soon...

Finally uploading some pictures to DA, after 7 years of having my account languishing mostly unused, has been quite fun and inspiring. There's an incentive to get more involved; to make a deviantID, to scan more sketches and to go the next step and actually work on them and colour them and finish them. All good things! My friend and I have also set up a Tumblr blog in the hopes of "drawing to a theme" each month. Hopefully that will motivate me to draw more as well... or even - shock horror - try some different mediums too! I will link it when we start updating it more.
